PURPOSE

Yoga and meditation have been an important part of Melanie’s life. In the past three years she furthered her practice to address stress and anxiety brought on by her time in corporate America. In just a few months of deeper practice she started to see significant improvements in her day to day life. Her practice has helped her grow stronger, embrace her true nature and be fearlessly compassionate toward herself and others. Her practice inspires her to live each moment in the present and welcome reality.

It wasn’t too long after venturing on this journey that Melanie felt a responsibility to share her experiences with others. She completed her 200-hour training with YogaWorks in NYC, studying under the exceptional Chrissy Carter. At the same time, she completed a 100-hour meditation training with Tibet House US, studying under David Nichtern, a senior Buddhist teacher in the Tibetan Shambala lineage. Melanie has taken the knowledge and expertise from these programs and formed her own unique style.

She will always be a student of these practices and is deeply grateful for the wisdom her teachers have shared with her. Melanie’s classes combine philosophy, a spirit of acceptance and a dose of playfulness to help you open up and enjoy the present moment. Through yoga and meditation, she seeks to empower people to live balanced, healthy lives by unlocking the inner light and potential that is always available to us.
